The Silva 58F compass is a very stable and rugged multi-purpose compass, suitable for kayaks and all types of vehicles, including aircraft (such as paragliders and hang gliders).
The flat bottom plate of the Silva 58F Kayak avoids the need for any mounting holes. The Silva 58F Kayak can be flush mounted for example either with the included shock cord kit (bungee cord with plastic hook-clips) or screws or adhesive tape. The shock cord kit (bungee cord with plastic hook-clips) can be removed by unscrewing the bottom plate.
