The content of this Oxford Aviation text book series meets the requirements of the JAA/EASA theoretical knowledge syllabus for the Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and complies with the ATPL learning Objectives published by the JAA/EASA. Many diagrams, most of them in colour are used to explain the more difficult concepts and the majority of chapters include multiple choice questions which allow students to check their progress. Now in its 40th year of continuous operation as a Training School for Air Transport Pilots, Oxford Aviation Training has an enviable and long established, worldwide reputation for the provision of high quality pilot training. The first educational establishment to be awarded the United Kingdom's prestigious Queen's Award for Industry, Oxford has trained more than 14,000 pilots for some 50 major airlines and Government bodies representing more than 60 countries through-out the world. Today, at its two bases at Oxford and in the United States, the school trains more than 250 pilots a year to JAA/EASA ATPL standard.
