What are Rope Chocks made from?
Rope Chocks are made from marine-grade polypropylene rope designed to withstand the elements. The retaining end is crafted from durable polypropylene that is naturally chemical and UV resistant. The opposite end is made to fit snuggly inside the retaining end.
Won’t my plane just roll over a rope?
When snugged against the wheel, rope Chocks 360 degree coverage actually provides more protection against unintentional movement when compared to standard block-style chocks. We can’t physically push a C-182 over Rope Chocks.
How do I properly install Rope Chocks?
Hold the retaining end and whip the rope around the wheel, secured through the retaining device and pull tight. It really is a cinch.
What if they get dirty?
You can wash your Rope Chocks with your favourite dishwashing soap, hose them off and hang them to dry.
Please note that these chocks fit aviation tyres from size 5.00-5 through to 8.00-6. A single chock weighs 1.7lbs (775g) and is 1.5” (380mm) in diameter.
